Anjali Kailat

Anjali Kailat is a 26 year old artist in her prime, working mainly with acrylic paints, emerging from Pune, India. Her artistic journey began as a passion parallel to pursuing a degree in Business Management at FLAME University. Having had no formal training in fine arts, Anjali learnt to express herself through a very intuitive process of painting. This took a giant leap after selling a painting at an art exhibition arranged by the institute for its students. The painting was of her dog Kasper, a pug she’d grown up with, giving it a sentimental touch above her other work. This was a turning point in her professional career when she decided to dedicate a large portion of her life to art.

 

Till date, Anjali has spent a considerable amount of time mastering her forms of expression and continues to do so. Her work can be recognised by the use of bright and vibrant colours painted with acrylic on canvas, The distinct use of turquoise can be observed as a characteristic signature in most of her work.

 

Through the display of her art, she tries to add liveliness to the room. Her choice of paintings is a direct representation of her belief that humanity needs to learn to be more selfless and consider their environment. Hence, much of her work shows her love for animals and is deeply rooted in them, but she also draws inspiration from everyday scenery.
